History

1888 Built by Cooke for Denver, Texas and Fort Worth Railroad.
Sept. 1907 Bought by Dardenelle and Russellville Railroad.
1938 Lease to 20th Century Fox for the movie Jesse James.
1945 Sold to 20th Century Fox.
Starred in movies like Sentimental Journey, Centennial Summer, and Scandalous John.
Sitting in the backlot of the movie company for 10 years.
Jan 1972 Purchased by the Short line Enterprise.
1976 Served Bob Gray's V&T for some time during 1976 as V&T 28.
Served the Sierra Railroad Company, California before and after her service for Bob Gray.
1981 She appeared at the Grand Opening of the California State Railroad Museum.
ca 1981 She was bought by the Nevada State Railroad Museum along with other equipment.
She was made into NSRM #8.
2008-9 Her firebox was severely damaged after explosions when her fuel oil hit hot spots in her firebox.
2009 Shorty thereafter, she was pulled out of the operating roster and put in the shops to be repaired.
Her tender was traded of with the #25's tender, which was inoperable because of a water tank leak.
