Comments

The V&T #8 Humboldt arrived to Reno from Philadelphia. The locomotive was delivered in pieces by an ox-team via Geiger Grade to Virginia City. The pieces where reassembled under the guidance of a Baldwin engineer at the roundhouse in Virginia City.

The locomotive was build by Baldwin with an mid-1869 technology. The loco's had 48" drivers. The V&T put on bigger tires (Tyres in the V&T records).
